What we repair
Carbon fibre has a reputation for being unrepairable but the truth is that it’s one of the most repairable materials if done correctly and a good repair is indistinguishable in ride-feel and structural integrity.
We repair carbon frames from all brands. We’re also able to use our Alpha Report and NDT (Non Destructive Testing) to inspect frames, forks, handlebars, or any other carbon fibre part to see whether structural integrity has been compromised.
We can also repair other carbon fibre and composite items such as kayaks, surf-skis, and carbon fibre kayak paddles. contact us for more info on these repairs.

What will it cost?
Estimating the cost of a repair can be tricky without seeing it. Sometimes what looks like a major job can be quite affordable whereas a tiny crack can be expensive. The best way to know what a repair will cost is to send us photos of the damaged area.
A cracked or damaged area of a frame will typically cost between $300 and $500 to repair, including touch-up paint.
Before we start a repair we’ll do a thorough visual inspection of the whole frame. Any spots which appear damaged will be tested with ultrasound and/or thermographic imagery so we can understand what damage is lurking beneath the surface.
If you want to take this opportunity to give your frame a complete new paintjob we work closely with the countries best painter: Brendon Sharratt at Velo Creations.

How long will it take?
We aim for a one-week turnaround on all repairs.
Urgent jobs are no problem but will incur small additional charge.
What we don’t repair
Forks
A fork failure will be catastrophic and potentially very dangerous.
Replacement carbon forks are not overly expensive and therefore often better value for money than a repair would be. Carbon forks are under a huge amount of load when you ride and the direction of loading is far more varied and complex than it is with a frame. For these reasons it’s not economical or logical for us to repair carbon forks.
Rims and Wheels
There are two major causes of carbon fibre rim damage
- Heat damage: Whether from exhaust heat or being cooked by rim brake heat the result is the same: lots of damaged resin.
- Impact damage: Impact damage generally results in damage across a large section of the rim.
In either case it’s not economical or logical for us to repair carbon rims.
